Every 30,000 miles (or everyother year) Cowden Automotive recommends the following services to keep your car running well, to maintain your factory warranty, and to make sure that any problems that may have arisen since your last visit are addressed. At 30,000 Miles a 15,000 mile serivce is perfomed as well as a couple additional items depending on the year make and model of your vehicle.

REGULAR MAINTENANCE SERVICE: test drive vehicle, change oil and filter using Original Equipment filter and quality oil. Check belts for age cracks and condition, check all fluids under the hood and under car topping up as Neccessary, Visually inspect hoses for obvious leaks and overall condition, visually inspect constant velocity (C.V.) boots for cracks and splits, Visually inspect tires for air, wear and nails (patching if neccessary for an extra charge), lube points (if applicable), inspect exterior lights proper operation, lube locks and hinges.

BRAKE INSPECTION: Test drive vehicle, remove tires, inspect pads and shoes for irregular wear, adjust shoes if neccessary, measure pads and shoes for remaining life expectancy, inspect brake fluid for level and condition, inspect brake hoses and metal lines, inspect brake master cylinder for leaks, and check brake lights for proper operation.

INSPECT AIR FILTER: Remove air filter from housing and inspect for wear. (replacement for additional charge)

INSPECT VALVE CLERANCE:Remove valve cover and inspect valve clearance and make neccesary adjustments, replace valve cover gasket.

*EXCEPTIONS TO THE ABOVE SERVICE: Most cars from the 80's through the late 90's required valve clearance inspection every 15,000 miles. Some newer cars do not have the same reccomendation from the manafacturer for this interval. We will look up the interval for your make and model and let you know what it is and make a reccomendation based on that information.
